Connect To Purpose

    Music Auditions

Bethel College has a long history of exceptional music programs — both instrumental and vocal. Students need only audition and be part of one ensemble in order to earn a music scholarship. Most of our students involved in music at Bethel (and receiving a music scholarship) are not music majors.

    What to Expect

Musicians of all abilities are welcome to audition for a scholarship. Be prepared to perform 3-5 minutes of repertoire that demonstrates your highest musical ability. When completing the form, please let us know if you'll need an accompanist, as one can be arranged.

    Available Dates

We have the opportunity for our seniors to attend an audition day each semester. If neither date will work for you, we'll try to make arrangements for you.

    Saturday, Nov. 2
    Saturday, March 7

Our November date is strictly an audition day. Sign up to schedule an audition sometime in the morning with our music faculty.

Our March date is our Scholarship Day. Admitted seniors in high school are invited to attend the entire Scholarship Day that begins in the morning and includes a ceremony with the president and several sessions with faculty and advisers. The audition portion of Scholarship Day is open to any student interested in a music scholarship. Audition times will be available in the early afternoon.

    Questions?

If you're interested in a music scholarship, but aren't able to make either date, please reach out to our Associate Director for Admissions, Eric Preheim, for additional options, at epreheim@bethelks.edu
